Social Ambassador

Corey Ellis is a fowler and photographer, who was born and raised in south central Minnesota. He owes his passion of hunting and outdoors to his grandpa Vern, who gave him his first rifle at age 12. Since then, his

outdoor pursuits have expanded from deer to waterfowl, such as diver ducks and geese, as well as upland birds. He spends most of his fall at the cabin in western Minnesota with his red lab Jax, where they both share a love for hunting over large diver spreads and walking for pheasants. Photography entered his life in the last few years, where it has been a challenge to learn a new skill and unlock a side of storytelling that was his own. It is also rewarding, being able to capture the moments of raw emotion of those closest to you in the blind. Picking up a camera has become a favorite aspect of the outdoors and hunting for him. When duck season has closed, he transitions to pursuing snow geese in the spring on an annual trip with some of the closest friends around him. In the off season Corey spends his free time at the cabin, organizing and

preparing the upcoming fall, which includes trap shooting, decoy inventory, painting and refurbishing his foam diver decoys that took a beating over the year. As a fowler, it's a rinse and repeat mentality for the next hunt,

whenever that may be. Becoming a fowler and purchasing his first camera has been two defining moments in Corey’s life, striving to pass on knowledge to current and future generations and being grateful for the opportunity and privilege of every hunt.
